Attract your clients

attract new clientIn previous post selling yourself as online freelancer, has stated that in the online freelance world also requires "self" marketing strategy. One of them is the communication factor.

This time, I will describe about the communication factor. Which communication factors have an important role in attract clients/prospective clients.

Why important?

I think, communication is a way to do in order someone can accept/believe in the expertise we have and ultimately interested in using our services.

So, how we as a freelance (service providers) to convince and understand the prospective client's need?

Maybe some strategies below can you apply :
  • Make the client/prospective client as a friend
Well as business clients, the client must be a friend. Make your prospective clients comfortable with you. Takes patience, without focus on projects bid.
  • Explore the prospective client's need
Try to ask in detail, what the client's needs. After the client's needs in mind, give some exact solutions. If the prospective client interested in your services, start to provide information about your skills as a project portfolio that you have ever dealt with, or can show some demos are directly in front of your prospective clients.
  • Negotiation
Negotiation include project budget, project price rate, project timeline, payment, etc. After all agreed, give the option where both parties mutually.
  • Responsibility
Tell to your client about work progress of projects you have completed, what constraints you have, so it can be improved by both parties. Important point : you must complete the tasks which have been agreed.

If your clients are satisfied with the service you provide, maybe without asked, they will give positive feedback for you. Finally, will be affect to your rating in the eyes of your next prospective clients.

Maybe some of the above depending on how you live it.

Anyone want to add or criticize?

happy freelancing, keep working, keep your health, and good luck for all! :)
