0 How to Recover - Project Deadline Uncontrolled

In the freelance business, employers certainly do not want to hire those who are not professional in their projects. Otherwise, you as a worker trying to maintain your professionalism.

Delivering the results of project on time and as expected by the client is the main thing to build long term client relationships.

However, how do you as a freelance experienced such case : " You violated the project deadline set."

Your delay in sending the end project is one indication that you are not disciplined (not professional).

Are you agree with that statement?...

My answer: not entirely, depending on your situation. Why?

Let's discuss ...

You as professionals freelancers would have a clear parameters in controlling a project from start making best project proposals, set the project timeline, project budget estimates, establish working procedures, to the deliverable time.

But, have you ever experienced a situation something unplanned and uncontrolled happen when you work on a project?

Yeah. Not be denied .. This is often called as Factor "X".

What are the factors "X" ?

I think, some indications of Factor "X" which can disrupt your project planning :

• Your health is distracted when you have to do or complete a project. This makes you become unfocused, so some projects that you do become neglected.

• Disrupted in your working device (eg. computer or your project file have a virus, other malicious programs).

• Miscommunication among your work team ( If you are working in team).

• Family, girlfriend, or friend affected ... ask you to accompany them. While you're working, it also raises you do not become unfocused.

• Other things.

Understandably, you will stressful in this situation.

But, do not panic ...

I think :

• Do not wait for tomorrow. Immediately, communicate with your clients, convince your clients and Apologizing, Report your condition honestly to your clients. If necessary, show proof of your problem.

• Make a deal again about your project deadline. Communicate to your clients immediately.

• Even though no warranty, at least you can give the possibility it will not happen again.

• Evaluation of the steps you take, and how to make the best going forward.

With your goodwill, does not preclude the client be more respectful to you.
