5 Tips Word of Mouth Marketing Effectively for Freelancers

Word of Mouth Marketing
Network is a valuable asset in business. With an extensive network, makes your products or services be easier to be known even used  by many people.

We know that the traditional marketing method is "word of mouth", if you already have an extensive network ... I think this method will very quickly spread like viruses. In my opinion, this method is the most efficient method in building a business. This means, it will generate passive marketing in your business.

Allows you to not promote excessively, reduce costs, save energy and time. In other words, "the customers comes to you".

How do you as an online freelancer to implement this strategy?

well, let's discuss ...

If  you've read my old post "give to receive in freelancing" emphasized that "give something genuinely, then people will come and remember you."

I think, its also very effective in building a network, build your self-marketing, and make your long-term relationship with your clients.

Some of tips below may be useful for you :

1. Soon, Open yourself to known

You can open yourself as wide as possible wherever, whenever you are connected both through social networking sites, forums, blogs, organizations, exhibitions, seminars, or anywhere else. Do that continuously even to those who not interested in using your services. If you attend a seminar or exhibition in your town, you can share your experiences with friends, colleagues, or to anyone. At the end of warm conversation, you can offer your business card and let them to know you more through your business card.

2. Follow up your relationship

Save and kept your contact list that you get from them, especially for those who have relevance to your work. You can follow up with a new meeting. You can say hello them by email, via video chat, or you can use a CRM tool, if you have time... you can invite them to go together, relax in the restaurant, cafe, or a comfortable place of your own.

3. Do something to them

At this stage, if you assume that your prospective clients are comfortable to you, you identify what your client needs, and what you can do to solve their problems. If your a prospective client, a plantation owner. You as a web designer can offer services to make a website for their business, you may also be able to help their business through online marketing team or your fellow freelancer that you think is competent.

4. Let it flow

With your sincerity and quality of service you provide, enabling them to give positive feedback both to you or to their business friends. That is, at this stage you've started to build a "passive marketing" for your next projects in the future.

5. Evaluate

Should it be evaluated? I think yes, if you have not met your achievement target. This means, if you found "a not significant results" between your struggle with the results you achieve. I guess it's good, make you more creative in the future. The second answer is no. If you are happy with what your are doing.

How do you think?

Glad to hear your opinion.

Happy freelancing, keep working, keep your health, and good luck for all! :)

My teenage daughter wants to sell her `dance moves’ online and my younger son is recording his rock ‘n roll compositions. Thanks for your idea on making money by posting talents that each one of us have in some form or the other. As per your suggestions, my family as a whole (including hubby dear) have posted what we have to offer on selling my logo design,Freelance Jobs online websites.
